Cardiff Kung Fu Academy Membership Terms and Conditions
By enrolling as a member of Cardiff Kung Fu Academy you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully to ensure a full understanding of your obligations and rights as a member.
1. Membership Agreement
- Membership is available to individuals who agree to participate in Kung Fu training and related activities under the supervision of our instructors.
- All members must read and agree to these terms and conditions before participating in any classes.
- Membership is non-transferable and may not be shared with others.
2. Membership Fees
- Membership fees are payable monthly via standing order, on the 1st of each month.
- All fees must be paid on the date specified. Failure to pay fees on time will result in suspension or termination of membership.
- The school reserves the right to adjust membership fees, with prior notice given to all members.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Members may cancel their membership at any time by providing written notice to the school via email or private message.
- No refunds will be issued for membership fees already paid, except in cases of extenuating circumstances, at the discretion of the school.
- In the event of cancellation, the member will remain liable for any outstanding fees.
4. Class Attendance and Punctuality
- Members are expected to attend classes regularly and arrive on time. Consistent lateness or absenteeism may result in a review of membership status.
- If a member is unable to attend a class, they should inform the school as soon as possible.
- The school reserves the right to reschedule, postpone, or cancel classes, and will provide notice of any changes.
5. Code of Conduct
- Members must behave respectfully towards instructors, fellow students, and staff at all times.
- Any form of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of membership.
- Members are required to follow the instructions of the instructors during classes to ensure safety and effective training.
- The use of Kung Fu techniques outside the school in an irresponsible or harmful manner is strictly prohibited.
- Excessive use of force inside class will not be tolerated. If a student is deemed to have used or be using excessive force, the teacher will give a first verbal warning, followed by a second. If the use of excessive force continues, the teacher reserves the right to remove the student from the class and terminate membership with immediate effect.
6. Health and Safety
- Members must disclose any medical conditions, injuries, or other health issues that may affect their ability to participate in training.
- Participation in Kung Fu training is at the member’s own risk. The school is not liable for any injuries sustained during classes or events.
- Members are required to maintain personal hygiene and wear appropriate training attire, including any protective gear as recommended by the instructors.
7. Use of Facilities
- Members are entitled to use the school’s facilities during scheduled class times.
- Members must respect the school’s property and equipment. Any damage caused by a member may result in charges for repair or replacement.
- The school is not responsible for the loss or damage of personal belongings.
8. Photography and Media
- The school may take photographs or video recordings of classes and events for promotional purposes. Members consent to the use of their images in such materials.
- Members may not record classes or events without prior permission from the school.
9. Disciplinary Actions
- The school reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership for any breach of these terms and conditions or for conduct deemed inappropriate by the school.
- Members will be given notice of any disciplinary actions and may appeal the decision in writing to the school administration.
10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
- The school reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any changes in advance.
- Continued membership constitutes acceptance of any updated terms and conditions.
